For first timers our expert local tour operators run beginners Kayaking lessons. For a family friendly activity why not float down the Ovens river in Bright in a sit-on-top or inflatable kayak? If you have your own kayak or canoe and want to go exploring you will be spoilt with choice in Bright and surrounds! Lake Buffalo, a short drive from Myrtleford and at the base of Mount Buffalo, is the perfect place if you would like to float peacefully in a lake surrounded by mountains.

Head up to Mount Buffalo National Park and explore picturesque Lake Catani in a double/single kayak or stand up paddle board. They may be hired from Adventure Guides Australia, drop in to Dingo Dell Cafe to hire or contact the team at Adventure Guides Australia.

There are various kayaking options available to suit your needs. Activities include guided beginner whitewater kayaking experiences on the Ovens River in Bright and flat water kayaking on Lake Catani on Mount Buffalo, Lake Sambell in Beechworth or Lake Buffalo (hire your own or take a lesson and guided tour).

Speak with us if you would like to book any of these while you are staying with us.
